Launch of Damaged Gas Cylinder Replacement Program in Ibb Governorate

Sanaa: The Governor of Ibb, Abdulwahid Salah, and the Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, launched today a program to replace damaged gas cylinders with maintained cylinders, totaling five thousand cylinders.

According to Yemen News Agency, the program targets citizens in various districts, as directed by the revolutionary and political leadership and the program of the Change and Construction Government. During the launch, Governor Salah commended the efforts of the Yemen Gas Company in replacing damaged cylinders to ensure citizens' safety and urged them to use gas cylinders safely to protect their lives and property.

The Governor assured that the gas supply situation remains stable in the governorate and appreciated the company's efforts in providing gas and facilitating access for citizens. He explained that the program is part of a broader initiative to enhance public safety standards and minimize domestic accidents from using damaged cylinders, highlighting the governorate's leadership's focus on community protection and improving services for citizens.

Yasser Al-Wahidi, the Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, emphasized that the gas cylinder replacement program aims to promote public safety and serve citizens, noting that the replacement is free. He confirmed the stability of gas supply across all free governorates, with adequate quantities and a strategic stock to meet all needs. Al-Wahidi added that the company conducts periodic maintenance for cylinders and updates inspection and technical mechanisms to ensure safe, specification-compliant cylinders reach homes, contributing to the company's institutional performance development.

Ahmed Al-Masni, the Director of the company's branch in the governorate, stated that the program will raise awareness about the importance of replacing damaged cylinders and called for cooperation with technical teams for a successful replacement process. He confirmed that the branch has made the necessary technical and administrative arrangements for implementation in targeted districts, ensuring efficient and smooth service for citizens.

As part of localizing the gas cylinder industry, Governor Salah and Al-Wahidi inspected the Al-Du'ais Gas Cylinder Factory during their visit, assessing its readiness for manufacturing national gas cylinders.
