Dhamar: The Sila Social Charity Foundation in Taiz Governorate launched on Tuesday the Eid clothing distribution project for 868 orphans and affected families in Al-Jundiyah Al-Ulya, Al-Taiziyah District, during Ramadan 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the launch, marking the tenth consecutive year, is part of the foundation's humanitarian and relief programs aimed at promoting social solidarity and community compassion during the holy month of Ramadan.
During the launch, Deputy Governor Abdulwasi' Al-Shamsi praised the humanitarian role of the Sila Social Charity Foundation in implementing impactful and sustainable projects targeting the most vulnerable groups, especially orphans and those affected by the siege and current difficult conditions.
He emphasized that the continuation of this project for the tenth year in a row reflects a firm commitment to social responsibility and practically embodies the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership, as well as the local authority in the governorate, aimed at strengthening social cohesion and reinforcing the values of brotherhood and solidarity among community members.
Al-Shamsi highlighted that such initiatives form a fundamental pillar in supporting social stability and alleviating the suffering of needy families, calling on businessmen and traders to support, fund charitable and humanitarian initiatives, especially during Ramadan, a month that exemplifies generosity and benevolence, thereby expanding the circle of beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, the directors of Al-Taiziyah and Shar'ab Al-Rawnah districts, Abdulkhaleq Al-Junaid and Osama Al-Qattabri, stated that the launch of the Eid clothing distribution for 868 orphans and affected families reflects a bright example of the solidarity and compassion that characterize Yemeni society despite the challenges and difficult circumstances.
They noted that humanitarian initiatives demonstrate the ongoing spirit of giving and kindness among benefactors and affirm that Yemeni society remains rich in values of generosity and selflessness, enhancing its resilience and ability to face challenges, while serving as a living example of social cohesion under all circumstances.
Al-Junaid and Al-Qattabri commended the efforts of the Sila Social Charity Foundation in implementing charitable projects aimed at alleviating the suffering of needy groups and bringing joy to the hearts of orphans and affected families with the arrival of Eid al-Fitr.
