Al-hodeidah: The First Deputy Governor of Al-Hodeidah, Ahmed Al-Bashri, inaugurated the Martyr Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdulkarim Al-Ghamari Exhibition for Eid clothing on Wednesday. The event, held in Al-Zaydiyah District, aims to provide Eid clothing for the poor and needy in the northern districts of the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project is being implemented by the Youth Development Association for the year 1447 AH under the slogan, 'Clothe them, and Allah will enrich you.' This initiative, now in its fourth consecutive year, seeks to distribute Eid clothing to 18,000 boys and girls from impoverished, orphaned, and underprivileged families in the northern districts of Al-Hodeidah. It is part of a humanitarian effort to bring joy to children's hearts with the arrival of Eid al-Fitr.
During the inauguration, Deputy Governor Al-Bashri, along with the Governor's Deputy for Northern District Affairs, Ghalib Hamza, toured the exhibition's sections. They reviewed various clothing items and received explanations about the mechanism for receiving beneficiaries and enabling them to choose their Eid outfits, thereby contributing to their happiness.
The First Deputy Governor emphasized that opening this charitable exhibition and distributing Eid clothing reflects the concern of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council for the conditions of impoverished communities. He noted that it reinforces the values of social solidarity and benevolence, especially under the current circumstances facing the country.
He highlighted the importance of community and charitable initiatives that promote social cohesion and compassion among society members, particularly during religious occasions when the needs of poor families increase. He praised the efforts of the Youth Development Association in adopting and implementing such humanitarian projects, which significantly support vulnerable groups and alleviate the suffering of poor families in the governorate, especially during the month of benevolence and mercy.
The First Deputy Governor called for expanding charitable work and enhancing partnerships between official institutions, community organizations, and businessmen to implement more humanitarian projects and actively support the needy. This, he said, embodies the spirit of faith in its finest form during the holy month.
Fadhel Al-Dhyani, Chairman of the Youth Development Association, stated that the Eid clothing project is part of the association's annual charitable and humanitarian programs aimed at assisting poor families and bringing joy to the hearts of orphaned and needy children with the arrival of Eid al-Fitr. He noted that the project targets distributing Eid clothing to 18,000 boys and girls from poor and needy families in the northern districts of Al-Hodeidah through a comprehensive exhibition that allows beneficiaries to select clothing that suits them.
The association's chairman appreciated the facilitation provided by the governorate leadership and supporting entities to ensure the success of the project. He affirmed that the association will continue to implement its developmental and charitable projects aimed at fostering cooperation, compassion, and social solidarity among members of the community.
