Hajjah: The Deputy Governor of Hajjah, Ahmed Al-Akhfash, inaugurated today the electronic meter reading and automated field collection system at the branch of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Bani Qais District.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Governor and the District Director, Hassan Al-Ashoul, praised the Local Water Corporation's commitment to developing its programs and core systems to enhance work efficiency, control resources, and achieve comprehensive digital transformation for the corporation.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Director General of the Local Water Corporation - Director of the Bani Qais Branch, Engineer Mohammed Al-Madoumi, reviewed the benefits of the system program in reducing errors in consumption readings and zero readings. He affirmed that the system comes within the corporation's plan to automate activities and operations to address any shortcomings, reduce losses, monitor subscriber consumption rates, eliminate estimated readings, reduce complaints, implement automated field collection, and prevent the accumulation of debts.
For his part, the Chief Engineer of the Water Sector - System Programmer, Engineer Khaled Al-Ashoul, pointed out the importance of the automated reading and collection system program in organizing work, speeding up completion, facilitating access to real data from the field, expediting invoice issuance and follow-up through smart applications, and ensuring citizens' rights by delivering information directly to the management.
Meanwhile, the Corporation's Directors of Finance, Mustafa Al-Wazzan, Information Systems, Ameen Humaid, and the Financial and Administrative Officer of the Bani Qais Branch, Abdulkarim Mada'is, considered the system program a qualitative leap for the Water and Sanitation Corporation's activities, working to enhance financial oversight and trust between subscribers and the corporation through the automation of systems. They emphasized the importance of the system in recording accurate data on meter consumption, attaching a photo of the meter with the water consumption reading, and automatic consumption reading through the optical character recognition engine, as well as other important features related to the system.
