Amran: The General Mobilization and local authority in Amran province launched today the events commemorating the anniversary of the Day of the Guardianship (Yawm al-Wilayah) of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master."
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremonial event was attended by the province's deputy governor, Hassan Al-Ashqas, the mobilization official in the province, Sajjad Hamza, as well as executive and academic leaders and social figures. The director of Amran district, Aqeel Sharif, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of Ghadir Day as a faith-based and historical milestone in the Islamic nation's journey. He highlighted the occasion's role in embodying loyalty and connection to the authentic Muhammadan path carried by the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (peace be upon him).
Sharif affirmed that reviving this occasion contributes to enhancing religious awareness and consolidating the moral and human values embodied by Imam Ali throughout his life, stances, and journey. He explained that Imam Ali presented a unique model of leadership, wisdom, justice, and support for the oppressed.
He further highlighted the importance of recalling Imam Ali's biography and drawing lessons from it, especially in light of the challenges facing the nation. He noted that this event is part of an extensive program to be witnessed across various districts of the province in the coming days.
The commemoration includes numerous activities aimed at strengthening faith identity and spreading awareness of the importance of this religious occasion and its educational and spiritual values and implications. The event featured a poem expressing the greatness of the occasion.
