Al-sawda: An expanded preparatory meeting in the Al-Sawda district of Amran province discussed the arrangements and preparations underway to commemorate the anniversary of the Day of the Guardianship (al-Wilayah day) of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) for the year 1447 AH.

According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the Yemeni General Corporation for Cement Industry and Marketing, Yahya Atifah, emphasized the significance of commemorating Yawm al-Wilayah. He highlighted its importance in uniting ranks to confront the enemies of the nation. Atifah stressed the need to reject guardianship and subservience, following the path charted by the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) through allegiance to Imam Ali (may God honor his face).

Atifah called for broad participation in the central event commemorating this anniversary, reflecting the Yemeni people's close connection to the path of guardianship (wilayah). He affirmed that the Yemenis' celebration of the anniversary of wilayah is a tradition inherited from past generations, rooted in the people's faith-based authenticity and their connection to Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

During the meeting, speeches were delivered affirming the importance of drawing lessons of sacrifice from the life of Imam Ali (may God honor his face). The speeches highlighted Imam Ali's qualities, his jihad, and his confrontation with tyrants and oppressors. They also emphasized the nation's need for his culture today amid the challenges Yemen is facing.
