Al-duraihimi: The local authority and the Zakat Office in Al-Duraihimi District, Hodeidah Governorate, initiated the distribution of 500 food baskets to impoverished and needy families as part of the Ramadan charity projects of the General Zakat Authority for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretary-General of the Local Council in the district, Abdullah Abukr, emphasized that the project is designed to support the most impoverished groups and address their needs during the holy month. He commended the Zakat Authority's efforts in promoting social solidarity and easing the difficulties faced by disadvantaged segments of the population.
The General Mobilization Official in the district, Ali Issa, highlighted the objective of the food basket distribution project, which is to foster solidarity and compassion among community members. He stressed the importance of allocating zakat resources to their rightful beneficiaries among the poor and needy, contributing to the achievement of social justice.
Additionally, the Director of the branch of the General Zakat Authority in the district, Abd Haimi, elaborated that this initiative is part of the broader Ramadan charity projects carried out by the General Zakat Authority in various districts. The aim is to support needy families and bring happiness to them during the holy month.
