Al bayda: The Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment, in coordination with the General Slaughterhouse Corporation branch in Al Bayda Governorate, initiated a campaign to monitor slaughterhouses and meat shops. This initiative is aimed at ensuring adherence to health standards and the official meat prices.

According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign was launched during a field visit attended by the local secretary of Al Bayda City, Sadiq Al-Qadhi. Ahmed Al-Tahiri, the Director of the Office of Economy, Industry, and Investment in the governorate, stated that the campaign’s primary objective is to oversee the meat markets and ensure compliance with the pricing set by the Ministry of Economy and relevant authorities.

The campaign is set to continue until all meat shops publicly display the official prices, and violators are identified and referred to the appropriate authorities. Mohsen Al-Sabahi, Director of the Slaughterhouse Corporation branch, mentioned that the monitoring efforts are being conducted across various markets under the governorate’s leadership directives. This is to ensure health standards are maintained and to take necessary actions against non-compliant entities.

The field visits are targeting all markets to strengthen oversight of price regulations, prevent the slaughter of young and female livestock, and ensure the safety of meat products.
