Launch of Operations for 3D Cone Beam Computed Tomography Device at Dentistry Faculty

Sana'a: Sana'a University Rector Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti inaugurated the operation of the Three-Dimensional Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) device at the Faculty of Dentistry during a scientific and academic event. The university rector affirmed that the Faculty of Dentistry has become one of the university's most successful medical faculties and among the most influential academically and socially, due to the educational, medical, and research services it provides, in addition to its academic, administrative, and technical staff.

According to Yemen News Agency, the university will continue supporting development and modernization plans, including upgrading medical equipment, laboratories, and facilities, as well as expanding educational and research services offered to students and researchers. The launch of the CBCT device is considered an important step in the modernization of the faculty's medical and educational infrastructure.

Dr. Al-Bukhaiti noted that over the past years, the faculty has built trust among citizens, researchers, and postgraduate students from various universities and educational institutions. He explained that the daily activities within the faculty reflect the efforts being made, especially in clinics, laboratories, and lecture halls that witness continuous academic and scientific activity, contributing to the preparation and qualification of specialized medical personnel.

Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi stressed that supporting educational institutions, particularly Sana'a University, is a national responsibility. He praised the university's standing and its locally and internationally recognized graduates.

Meanwhile, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry Dr. Rami Ishaq stated that the scientific event comes within the framework of the faculty's efforts to keep pace with developments in dentistry and advanced diagnostic technologies. He explained that the CBCT device is among the technologies used worldwide in diagnosing oral, dental, and maxillofacial diseases, as it provides accurate and high-quality imaging that enhances diagnostic and treatment efficiency, particularly in dental implants, orthodontics, maxillofacial surgery, root canal treatment, and other specialized fields.
