Sa'ada: The Board of Directors of the Executive Unit for Financing Agricultural Projects and Initiatives in Sa'ada governorate discussed strategic agricultural plans and ongoing development projects during a meeting chaired by Governor Mohammed Awad.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed ways to strengthen the unit's developmental role in advancing the agricultural sector, along with progress on projects and funding contributions included in the 1447 AH agricultural initiatives plan. Participants also reviewed the completion status of equipment and furnishing works for the Faculty of Agriculture at Sa'ada University, ongoing water projects in the governorate, and reasons behind delays in al-Samed and Al-Darahim water barrier projects.
The meeting discussed launching field schools based on production group methodologies and approved several measures, including reallocating funding to support cooperative association development projects in 12 districts and initiating a program to encourage 33 high school graduates to enroll in the Faculty of Agriculture. Governor Awad stressed the importance of implementing agricultural projects according to approved plans to ensure their success, emphasizing the need to strengthen cooperation between official bodies and cooperative associations to achieve greater agricultural production and self-sufficiency in the governorate.
