Hodeidah: The Security Department of Hodeidah province launched today a wide-scale security awareness campaign under the slogan 'Our Security is Our Responsibility' in the province's summer schools, as part of the Interior Ministry's activities for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign is supervised by the Department of Moral Guidance and Public Relations and aims to enhance students' security awareness, introduce the community to the duties of the Ministry of Interior and its security units, and strengthen the concept of the security officer's role in protecting society and maintaining public order. It also seeks to reinforce cooperation between citizens and security personnel, considering security a shared responsibility.
Field awareness teams stated the campaign focuses on building students' security awareness in their homes, schools, and social surroundings, while protecting them from enemy schemes and attempts that target the internal front through awareness programs and lectures designed to raise security consciousness and understanding.
They explained that the program includes educating students on how to contribute to protecting society and strengthening cooperation with security agencies, enabling them to deal consciously with various challenges and become active partners in preserving security and stability.
The teams urged students to act as 'watchful eyes' in their communities by developing a sense of responsibility, recognizing attempts of infiltration, and reporting suspicious activities to the relevant authorities.
The campaign was launched through specialized field teams targeting summer schools across the province's districts by organizing lectures and awareness workshops on the importance of cooperation with security personnel and enhancing community readiness to confront soft war tactics and infiltration attempts.
