Launch of Program to Replace Damaged Household Gas Cylinders in Taiz

Taiz: The Yemen Gas Company launched a program to replace damaged and worn-out household gas cylinders with maintained and reusable cylinders for citizens in Taiz Governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the program, which is part of the company's plan for the year 1447 AH - 2026 AD, aims to distribute 1,500 cylinders in 13 districts of Taiz Governorate as a first phase.

The implementation of the program comes based on the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, and in implementation of the program of the Change and Construction Government, under the supervision of the leadership of the Ministry of Oil and Minerals, as part of efforts aimed at enhancing the supply stability of gas and raising public safety standards, especially just before the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan.

During the launch, the Acting Governor of Taiz, Ahmed Al-Masawi, and the Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahidi, inspected the distribution process and the approved executive mechanisms for delivering gas to various sub-districts and villages, ensuring smoothness and fairness in distribution.

The Acting Governor of Taiz explained that the program's launch comes within the context of the Yemen Gas Company's efforts to maintain the safety and property of citizens, and to assess the level of supply stability in the governorate and ensure the availability of gas and meet the needs of citizens with the arrival of Ramadan.

He praised the company's efforts and its field visits to distribution sites to verify the regularity of sales mechanisms and ensure the availability of the commodity and service stability.

Al-Masawi noted the vital role undertaken by the Yemen Gas Company, affirming that these steps reflect a responsible commitment to the needs of citizens and contribute to alleviating burdens on families and enhancing supply stability for this commodity.

Meanwhile, the Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company explained that the program to replace damaged cylinders with maintained ones comes as a completion of the company's plan based on the directives of the revolutionary and political leadership, out of concern for public safety of citizens.

He pointed out that field visits to the districts in the governorate aim to assess the supply situation and enhance the efficiency of service performance, noting that the supply situation for gas is witnessing remarkable stability.

Al-Wahidi affirmed the company's keenness to take all necessary measures to provide household gas in sufficient quantities covering the needs of citizens during the blessed month of Ramadan and beyond, reassuring citizens of the availability of a strategic stock that meets their needs and all sectors operating with gas.

During the launch, which was attended by the Governor's Deputy, Nour al-Din al-Murani, the Director of Planning and Total Quality Department, Amin Al-Shibati, pointed out that the program falls within the company's plan to enhance public safety and reduce risks resulting from the use of unfit cylinders, and within its program to protect citizens and improve the level of services.

He called on citizens to handle gas cylinders properly due to the risks that may result from misuse.

For his part, the Director of the company's branch in the governorate, Abdulmalik Daboun, explained that the distribution of 1,500 cylinders was launched today in 13 districts of Taiz Governorate as a first phase, to be followed by subsequent phases, affirming that the distribution process will be carried out through the districts, and the delivery of cylinders to citizens is free of charge.

On the sidelines of the launch, the development situation in the governorate was discussed, and indicators of supply stability in various districts were reviewed.
