Launch of Sanhan & Bani Bahloul Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association

Sana'a: The founding meeting of the Sanhan and Bani Bahloul Multipurpose Agricultural Cooperative Association was held on Sunday in Sanhan and Bani Bahloul District, Sana'a Governorate. District Director Ahmed Othman announced that the establishment of the cooperative association aims to enhance agricultural cooperative work, which is considered a fundamental component of food and economic security, as well as other development areas.

According to Yemen News Agency, Othman emphasized the local authority's dedication to supporting the association and addressing any challenges it may encounter, recognizing it as a significant partner in local development initiatives. Mohammed Najad, Director of Associations and Federations at the Governorate's Social Affairs and Labor Office, discussed the organizational procedures for electing the administrative body. He highlighted the importance of members' rights to freely and transparently select representatives who are capable of advancing development efforts and responding to field needs.

The meeting concluded with the election of the association's administrative body through voting, and the approval of its bylaws. The event was attended by local officials, the head of the Agricultural Cooperative Union branch in the governorate, Bonyan Foundation coordinator, and members of the general assembly.
