Hajjah: The Governor of Hajjah, Hilal Al-Sufi, along with the Director of the Branch of the General Corporation for Communications, Sami Al-Khatib, launched today the school bag distribution project as part of the social responsibility program.
According to Yemen News Agency, the project, implemented by the General Corporation for Communications, targets 2,500 male and female students from the poorest families in the governorate center and districts, to encourage them to continue their education.
During the launch, Governor Al-Sufi appreciated the role of the Communications Corporation and its branch in the governorate in implementing projects that serve the interests of the poorest families and encourage their children to pursue education. He emphasized the need to expand the scope of such projects in the future to support a larger segment of the poorest families in continuing their education, calling on institutions and associations to adopt similar projects.
For his part, the Head of the Education Sector in the governorate, Ali Al-Qutayb, praised the role of the Communications Corporation in adopting such charitable initiatives and projects to contribute to the continuity of the educational process under the current circumstances.
In turn, the Director of the Branch affirmed the Corporation's commitment to implementing humanitarian projects in the educational field, which has been affected by the repercussions of the brutal and barbaric aggression on Yemen. He noted that the Corporation is implementing the project for the target groups in a number of schools, based on the principle that education is everyone's responsibility.
