Sana'a: The Governor of Ibb, Abdulwahid Salah, launched the "Only Those Who Believe in God Inhabit the Mosques of God" and "They Give Food" projects, which are valued at 21 million and 500 thousand riyals, as part of the Ramadan charitable initiatives implemented by the Office of Endowments and Guidance in the governorate for the year 1447 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Salah emphasized that these projects are a practical interpretation of the directives from the revolutionary and political leadership, underscoring their focus on fulfilling divine responsibilities. He highlighted the significance of these initiatives aimed at supporting and maintaining mosques and easing the plight of the disadvantaged, particularly during Ramadan.
Governor Salah commended the Office of Endowments and Guidance in Ibb for their role in executing these community-serving projects. He assured the local authority's backing for the Office to enhance its capacity in fulfilling endowment obligations and distributing funds for their intended purposes.
He urged wealthy individuals to use the holy month as an opportunity for acts of piety and generosity, contributing to mosque upkeep and construction, and providing aid to the impoverished, orphans, and vulnerable societal groups.
Abdul Fattah Ghallab, the Governorate's Deputy for the Endowments and Guidance Sector - Mobilization Official, stated that initiating these projects aligns with the responsibility to safeguard endowment funds and allocate them correctly. He emphasized the role of endowments in community development and the necessity for collaborative efforts to honor them as sacred trusts.
Ghallab also highlighted the projects' importance in reinforcing the mosque's mission and reducing the hardship of thousands of impoverished families amidst current challenges, applauding the efforts of the Office of Endowments and Guidance.
Deputy General Director of the Office of Endowments and Guidance, Saddam Al-Omaisi, explained that the "Only Those Who Believe in God Inhabit the Mosques of God" project aims to provide 500 mosques with essential services such as sound systems, electrical and plumbing supplies, and water tanks, ensuring ongoing maintenance and restoration.
Al-Omaisi further detailed that the "They Give Food" project involves distributing dates to mosques and operating a charitable kitchen at the Grand Mosque in Old Ibb City, reinforcing the office's dedication to fulfilling endowers' intentions.
