Sana'a: The Ministry of Education, Teaching, and Scientific Research launched today the unified electronic coordination and admission process in public and private higher education institutions through the electronic portal for all educational systems: general, parallel, and private tuition, for the academic year 1448 AH, 2026-2027 AD. According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Minister of Education, Teaching, and Scientific Research, Dr. Hatem Al-Doa'is, highlighted that the coordination and admission process is now streamlined through the unified electronic portal, adhering to the general policy approved by the Council of Ministers. He commended the integration of data across education sectors, which facilitates the launch of a unified policy for the first time for all educational systems in the republic for the academic year 1448 AH.
Dr. Al-Doa'is articulated that the ministry has established a clear vision through this policy to guide students wishing to pursue a bachelor's degree, technical diploma, or community college track, and to determine among the educational systems: general, parallel, and private tuition. He emphasized the ministry's commitment to further developing technical, general, and higher education sectors and urged universities to collaborate with the Sarr system to ensure efficient data collection and result processing.
Deputy Minister for Higher Education, Dr. Ibrahim Luqman, underlined the significance of the unified electronic portal in addressing enrollment and registration challenges. He explained that this portal now serves as the exclusive platform for registration and coordination in educational programs. Dr. Luqman pointed out that a decisive directive will ensure all universities only accept Sarr system admissions in the coming year.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhayti, President of Sana'a University, stressed the portal's importance in providing students with access to coordination from various locations, including rural areas and cities. He lauded the efforts of those involved in crafting the coordination and admission policy and the readiness of the Information Technology Center team to engage with prospective students.
Dr. Fouad Abdulrazzaq, Executive Director of the Information Technology Center at the ministry, mentioned the integration of coordination and admission portals to unify higher education institutions and community colleges. He detailed that the portal accommodates technical, vocational, and various educational domains and introduced the "Nasseeq" application for universities to communicate with students.
The event saw the participation of key figures such as Dr. Adel Al-Matari, head of the Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance Council, and representatives from the Information Technology Center and Kak Bank, highlighting a collaborative effort towards enhancing the educational process.
