Launching Fourth Phase of Rural Roads Quality Improvement Program in At-Tawilah, Al-Mahwit

At-tawilah: The first project of the fourth phase of the Rural Roads Quality Improvement Program was launched on Monday in At-Tawilah District, Al-Mahwit province. The project, implemented by At-Tawilah District Development Association in coordination with the Local Council and the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Local Administration and Rural Development, includes surveying, leveling, and expanding the asphalt road starting from the vicinity of At-Tawilah Park, passing through the villages of Al-Gharbi, Aslah, Al-Shaim, and reaching Al-Dhawarih villages in Al-Dula'a Al-Asfal.

According to Yemen News Agency, the implementation comes within the framework of the program to expand and improve rural road services, aiming to facilitate transport and mobility, and to enhance agricultural and commercial development in the area, particularly in regions where infrastructure was damaged by floods in recent years.

During the launch, District Director Rashid Marwan emphasized that the project represents a significant addition to infrastructure development in the district, given its importance in improving the level of public services. He noted that such initiatives contribute to strengthening social stability, providing job opportunities, and reflect the commitment of the district's leadership and supporting entities to achieving sustainable development, advancing public services, and improving citizens' living conditions.

Marwan expressed his appreciation to the Central Interventions Unit for adopting vital development projects. The Unit's team confirmed that the project's implementation comes under the directives of the leadership to support affected and underserved areas, noting that the expected economic and social impact will make a tangible difference in citizens' lives and improve their standard of living.
