Al-mahwit: The Republican Teaching Hospital in Al-Mahwit Governorate inaugurated on Tuesday a free medical camp for ophthalmology and eye surgery, in cooperation with Anwar Al-Mutahiddoon Eye Center and with the support of Direct Aid Foundation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the camp, which lasts five days, aims to enhance health services and alleviate the suffering of eye patients, especially those who are financially incapable. Work began today by receiving cases and conducting examinations and medical tests in preparation for surgical operations to remove cataracts and implant lenses.
The organizers aim to perform a number of free surgeries using modern medical techniques and advanced lenses, which will contribute to treating citizens and alleviating their suffering. They also emphasized the camp's importance in raising citizens' health awareness about the importance of early screening for eye diseases and the necessity of receiving timely treatment to avoid serious complications that may lead to vision loss.
