Launching Project to Distribute Assistive Devices for People with Disabilities in Khiran Al-Mahraq

Hajjah: The Hajjah branch of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities, in collaboration with the Yemeni Organization of Social and Psychological Specialists, initiated a project aimed at distributing assistive devices in Khiran Al-Mahraq District. This initiative targets 60 individuals, providing them with essential tools such as wheelchairs, clinical chairs with attached bathrooms, and underarm crutches to enhance their mobility and integration into society.

According to Yemen News Agency, Yahya Al-Naami, the Director of the Fund's Hajjah branch, stated that the project aligns with the directives of the central leadership. The aim is to alleviate the struggles faced by people with disabilities by addressing their essential needs. Al-Naami emphasized the importance of the collaboration between various partners to ensure the success of this humanitarian effort.

Al-Naami also highlighted that supporting people with disabilities extends beyond the provision of assistive devices. It is viewed as an investment in human potential, fostering opportunities for mobility, education, employment, and active participation in the development of the nation. He acknowledged the integrated efforts by all parties involved in implementing such impactful projects.
