Sana’a: The General Authority for Endowments office in Sana’a Governorate launched the “Purify My House” campaign at Al-Kour Mosque in the New Sana’a District, to clean, prepare, and maintain mosques in preparation for the holy month of Ramadan. The launch was attended by the governorate’s deputies Abdulmalik Al-Gharbi, Fares Al-Kahali, and Engineer Saleh Al-Muntaser, in addition to officials from the General Authority for Endowments.
According to Yemen News Agency, the authority’s deputy for the mosques sector, Abdullah Al-Qudami, emphasized the importance of maintaining the cleanliness of the houses of God throughout the year, not just during Ramadan, noting that launching the campaign at this time aims to enhance community awareness and spirituality. Abdullah Amer, the director of the authority’s office in the governorate, explained that maintenance work is carried out through a mobile workshop that operates throughout the year.
The attendees highlighted the necessity for cooperation between local authorities and the community to make the campaign successful and called for enhancing community participation and volunteer initiatives in caring for mosques. The efforts of the governorate’s leadership and the General Authority for Endowments in providing the needs of mosques and preserving them were also appreciated.
Following the launch, the local councils and the Authority’s offices in other Sana’a directorates began implementing the campaign, emphasizing the importance of concerted efforts to prepare the houses of God in a manner befitting their status.
