Sana’a: A meeting was held on Sunday at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to discuss the mechanism for receiving Ramadan relief contributions for the year 1446 AH from local partner organizations. The meeting brought together representatives from local organizations, with a focus on streamlining the process for receiving and distributing aid to those in need during Ramadan.

According to Yemen News Agency, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Ali al-Razami explained that the goal was to provide local organizations with a clear framework for contributing to Ramadan relief efforts, ensuring the efficient disbursement of aid to beneficiaries. He emphasized that participation in Ramadan relief activities was voluntary, and organizations would not face any consequences if they chose not to contribute.

Al-Razami also pointed out that the ministry would serve as the central point for coordinating humanitarian work, ensuring that the food baskets distributed would meet essential needs. He noted that contributors could specify the target groups for the aid, such as orphans, widows, the disabled, and displaced individuals, among others.

The ministry outlined the procedure for organizations wishing to contribute, which includes notifying the ministry of the distribution details and specifying the number of beneficiaries. The ministry will provide a list of beneficiaries and communicate with them about the distribution.

The meeting also addressed the challenges faced by relief organizations, with discussions focused on overcoming difficulties and ensuring smoother operations for future relief efforts.
