Sana'a: A lecture event was held on Tuesday in Sana'a to celebrate the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), organized by the Emirates International University.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Abdul Salam Al-Hadi, Director of Legal Affairs in the Higher Education Sector, highlighted the importance of commemorating the birth of the Seal of the Prophets and the Master of Messengers, whose status and mention are exalted, and who was sent as a mercy to all worlds, a guide, a bringer of glad tidings, and a caller to good. He described celebrating the Prophet's birthday as a key occasion to renew loyalty and love for the Messenger of God, strengthen the bond with him, follow his guidance, and emulate his example in striving, perseverance, patience, confronting adversaries, and embodying the values he conveyed.
Al-Hadi also addressed the Prophet's virtues and characteristics, emphasizing that he was sent to perfect noble morals, establish the foundations of truth, religion, protect rights, and eliminate injustice, tyranny, and oppression. He noted that the Yemeni people's solidarity with Gaza reflects their connection to, love for the Prophet, their adherence to his path and noble example.
For his part, Dr. Khaled Salah, President of the Emirates International University, described the celebration of the Prophet's birthday as one of the most significant occasions, being linked to the birth of the best of creation-the greatest man in human history, who changed the course of history and saved humanity from misguidance and oppression. He pointed out that Yemen's celebrations of the Prophet's birthday are no longer limited to events alone but include reviving the spirit of struggle, supporting the oppressed, raising awareness, and emerging from the state of weakness and stagnation that has afflicted the nation. He emphasized that this year's commemoration comes as the nation suffers major setbacks due to its failure to fulfill its duty in supporting the oppressed in Gaza, highlighting Yemenis' longstanding role at the forefront of those who support the Prophet's cause and follow his guidance in confronting injustice and arrogance.
Cultural activist Hussein Khairan stressed the need for the nation to use this great occasion as an opportunity to draw spiritual and moral strength from God's guidance. He emphasized the importance of returning to the Prophet's example, following his path in opposing oppression, and striving against tyrants. He concluded by noting that honoring the Prophet of humanity is one of the most important factors in achieving victory, improving the state of the nation, and restoring its dignity, honor, and glory.
