Brussels: The Culture Department in Ibb Governorate held a literary event commemorating the 27th anniversary of the passing of the great Yemeni poet and thinker Abdullah al-Baradouni, coinciding with preparations for the launch of the first al-Baradouni Festival in the capital, Sana'a, early next week. At the event, Member of Parliament Dr. Ali al-Zanam affirmed that the late poet Abdullah al-Baradouni was one of the most prominent figures in Arabic poetry, thought, and literature, and one of the most important pioneers of poetic renewal, given his intellectual and literary legacy that contributed to enriching Yemeni and Arab culture. According to Yemen News Agency, the event highlighted the significant impact of al-Baradouni's work, which continues to inspire new generations of poets and thinkers. The festival aims to celebrate his contributions and influence on Yemeni and Arab literature. The Culture Department emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting al-Baradouni's legacy as a vital part of Y emen's cultural heritage.
