Taiz: A meeting held in Taiz Governorate on Saturday, chaired by First Undersecretary of the Governorate Mohammed Al-Khalidi, discussed ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between the local authority, educational, and academic institutions.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the Director of the Education Sector in the governorate, Dr. Mohammed Al-Dhibyani, and the Director of the University of Science and Technology branch in Al-Hawban, Dr. Muath Bishr. The participants reviewed prospects for cooperation between executive offices and educational and research institutions, focusing on the activation of joint programs aimed at developing the educational process. The discussion also included providing facilitation for secondary school students and educational staff.
Al-Khalidi emphasized the local authority's commitment to supporting academic institutions and overcoming the challenges they face. He praised the role of the University of Science and Technology in supplying the labor market with qualified personnel according to modern standards.
Dr. Al-Dhibyani highlighted the importance of integration between general and higher education and presented proposals and initiatives aimed at motivating students and guiding them toward specialized fields that meet development needs.
Meanwhile, Dr. Bishr affirmed the university's readiness to utilize its scientific and research capabilities to support the education sector and serve the community through quality programs and sustainable partnerships.
