Mahweet: The local authority of Mahweet held a ceremony on Tuesday to honor the academic and administrative staff of Mahweet University, recognizing their efforts in developing education and serving the community. Governor Hanin Qatina praised the university staff for their role in advancing higher education and noted the institution's achievements despite the country's difficult circumstances.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor emphasized the importance of supporting the university to provide qualified professionals and contribute to local development. University chairman Dr. Mohammed al-Shalabi expressed gratitude for the recognition, pledging to continue improving academic programs, administrative performance, and scientific research.
During the event, the governor presented the First-Class Governorate Shield to the university president for his distinguished leadership. Other honorees included vice presidents, deans, deputy deans, and senior administrative and academic staff.
