Sana'a: The Deputy Governor of Hajjah, Zaid Al-Hakim, inspected today the progress of community initiative projects in the Ash Shahil district, implemented with the support of the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit (CEDIU), the local authority, and the community.
According to Yemen News Agency, accompanied by the head of the Al-Shahal Agricultural Cooperative Association, Hussein Al-Maradi, and Engineer Khaled Al-Khaywani, the Deputy Governor reviewed the implementation level of the project to pave and construct retaining walls along the Beit Al-Hayy sub-road.
He also inspected the progress of projects for paving the Al-Bazakhah road and constructing the Wadi Al-Thawr dam, as well as paving and building walls along the sub-roads to villages in Al-Hazah within the Amrur sub-district. Additionally, he reviewed the work requirements for the project to pave the Al-Sar road and neighboring villages.
The Deputy Governor inspected the progress of work on the project to survey and widen the Al-Nayd - Hayban road, as well as the project to rehabilitate and remove accumulated silt from the Wadi Hayban dam.
During the visit, the Deputy Governor praised the level of achievement, community engagement, and the support provided by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit of the Ministry of Administrative Development and Local Administration for these projects. He emphasized the commitment of the local authority in the governorate to implementing road projects as vital arteries to alleviate the suffering of citizens.
He urged the speedy completion of the projects and the submission of necessary requirements to commence the second phase of projects approved in the plans of the local authority and the Interventions Unit.
