Amran: Amran governorate witnessed today massive popular marches and protests denouncing the repeated offenses against the Holy Quran and Islamic sanctities, and in solidarity with the Palestinian and Lebanese peoples in the face of aggression and violations. The marches in the governorate capital were led by the governor, Dr. Faisal Jumaan, the general mobilization official, Brigadier General Sajjad Hamza, deputy governors, the governorate security director, and a number of local, social, security, and mobilization leaders.
According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the marches and protests raised slogans denouncing the crimes of burning the noble Quran and desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque. They affirmed that these practices represent a flagrant assault on the faith of the Islamic nation and a provocation to the feelings of Muslims around the world, necessitating firm and deterrent stances against those who commit them.
The people of Amran reaffirmed their commitment to their faith-based identity and Quranic culture, expressing readiness to confront attempts to undermine the nation's constants and existential issues. They emphasized that the Palestinian cause remains central to the nation, asserting that supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance is a religious and humanitarian duty that cannot be abandoned.
The crowds reiterated their preparedness and steadfastness against forces of aggression and arrogance, urging Arab and Islamic peoples to take effective action to support Islamic sanctities and defend the causes of the nation, particularly the Palestinian cause. A statement issued by the marches and protests condemned the repeated offenses against the Holy Quran and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, affirming that the Yemeni people will not remain silent in the face of these crimes.
The statement called on Muslims worldwide to take serious and sincere action to support the Quran and defend the sanctities through boycott campaigns and massive popular marches to confront Zionist schemes hostile to Islam. It stressed that leniency in facing these dangers represents a significant risk, affirming the steadfastness of the Yemeni position in supporting the Palestinian people and their resistance until the liberation of Al-Aqsa and the entire land of Palestine, and standing with the prisoners in occupation prisons.
Additionally, the statement expressed solidarity with Hezbollah in Lebanon, praising its strong stances in confronting the Zionist enemy, and affirming high readiness for any new escalation that America and Israel might carry out. It affirmed that the Yemeni people, adhering to their faith-based identity, are present on the battlefield of jihad, steadfast in their position with pride and resilience, responding to the calls of leadership.
