Sana'a: A large tribal gathering was held in Hubaish district of Ibb province on Sunday, with participants declaring their readiness and mobilization in response to a call by Abdulmalik al-Houthi to prepare for ending the aggression and blockade on Yemen.
According to Yemen News Agency, Member of Parliament Dr. Ali Abu Hulayqah, in the presence of Shura Council member Rashad al-Shabibi and Sana'a province undersecretary Mohammed al-Shabibi, said the event was intended to send a message to the Saudi-led aggression, which he accused of carrying out aggression against the Yemeni people.
He said the participation of Hubaish residents represented a commitment to defending the country and expressed readiness to support the frontlines with personnel and resources.
Ibb Mobilization Official Abdulfattah Ghallab praised the large turnout, stating that residents of the district had completed preparations and declared full readiness to respond to the directives of Abdulmalik al-Houthi.
He said participants carried their weapons as a demonstration of their preparedness and asserted that the time had come to end the blockade, recover Yemeni territories, and reclaim national resources.
Hubaish district director Shawqi al-Tuwaiti and al-Nadirah district Director Shaker al-Shabibi also declared the district's full readiness to confront future challenges and defend the country. They said participants were responding to al-Houthi's call to seek the lifting of the blockade and the end of foreign military presence.
In a statement issued at the gathering, participants expressed support for al-Houthi's speech marking the Islamic New Year migration anniversary and congratulated Iran on its victories over the United States and Israel.
The statement affirmed participants' continued readiness for any future escalation, support for general mobilization, and efforts to end the conflict, blockade, and foreign military presence.
It also called on Yemenis to unite in pursuit of what it described as the liberation of Yemeni territory and the restoration of national sovereignty.
