Sana'a: The Yemen Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Organization carried out a field inspection campaign targeting a number of industrial and food facilities, as well as drinking water stations, in Hajjah province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the campaign is part of the authority's routine inspection plan aimed at ensuring product quality and safety and verifying compliance with approved standards and technical requirements. Inspection teams visited a cement factory, where they examined the production line, raw materials, and collected samples of the final product for laboratory testing to verify compliance with approved standards.
The teams also inspected an animal feed factory, reviewed its production process, and monitored ongoing construction and expansion works to ensure adherence to technical specifications and approved standards. Head of the authority's Hajjah branch, Eng. Ali Al-Hajjaji, said the campaign is intended to strengthen oversight of industrial and food facilities, protect consumers, and ensure that products circulating in the market meet national standards. He affirmed that inspection programs will continue across commercial and industrial activities in the province.
