Sana'a: The General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families launched on Sunday a school bag distribution campaign in the capital Sana'a, providing 6,500 school bags with educational supplies to children of martyrs and missing persons under the slogan, "With Knowledge and Learning, We Preserve the Trust of Our Martyrs."
According to Yemen News Agency, Mohammed al-Afif, director of the authority's Sana'a branch, stated that the initiative will distribute 6,500 school bags equipped with complete school supplies for primary and secondary school students who are children of martyrs and missing persons across schools in the capital's districts. Al-Afif emphasized that the project is part of the authority's broader efforts to support the families of martyrs and missing persons, particularly in the education sector. He added that the authority is coordinating with the Ministry of Education to develop plans aimed at improving the academic performance of beneficiary students.
Al-Afif noted that the authority implements several year-round support programs, including monthly financial assistance and Eid clothing distributions, describing them as part of its commitment to caring for the families of martyrs and missing persons. He also praised private schools for enrolling children from these families.
Azal District Director Mohammed al-Ghalisi highlighted the significance of the sacrifices made by martyrs, describing them as a source of pride. He also mentioned that the families and children of martyrs receive direct attention and support from Abdulmalik al-Houthi, and commended the General Authority for the Care of Martyrs' Families and its branches for their ongoing support programs.
