Sana'a: The funeral of Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Al-Sourqi was held on Sunday in Mawiyah District, Taiz Governorate, following his passing after a lifetime of service.
According to Yemen News Agency, local officials and community leaders attended the funeral. Acting Governor of Al-Dhale', Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, praised the deceased's contributions to society and his role in resolving disputes and promoting reconciliation.
He stated that Sheikh Al-Sourqi's passing is a significant loss for Mawiyah District and Taiz Governorate, noting his wisdom in addressing community issues.
Mourners extended their condolences to the family of the deceased and prayed for mercy and patience for his relatives.
Sheikh Al-Sourqi was laid to rest after funeral prayers in the Sharqi Sourq area of Mawiyah District.
