Sana'a: A training course on project planning began today in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, with the participation of 35 women from Al-Hali District. The course is being implemented by the branch of the National Women's Committee as part of economic empowerment programs for impoverished families.
According to Yemen News Agency, the three-day course aims to equip participants with essential skills for establishing and managing income-generating projects, contributing to strengthening women's role in local development and providing sustainable livelihoods to help families overcome current economic challenges.
During the opening, the Director of the Committee's branch in the governorate, Fayrouz Al-Waisi, affirmed that the course comes in implementation of the Committee's commitment to women's economic empowerment and alleviating the living burdens on families. Al-Waisi highlighted the importance of investing in these opportunities to launch productive projects that boost the national economy.
For her part, the course trainer, Aisha Hashabira, explained that its themes focus on providing participants with the fundamentals of strategic planning for small projects. This includes determining capital, project objectives, partner study, promotion methods, as well as controlling operational costs and pre-operational expenses. She emphasized the necessity of coordinated efforts between official bodies and cooperative associations to support productive families and enhance women's active participation in local production.
