Massive Celebrations Mark Ghadir Day in Amran Province

Amran: Massive festivals and events took center stage in Amran province and its districts, including Thila', Rida, Jabal Yazid, Iyal Sarih, Bani Abd, Maswar, As Sud, As Sawdah, Bani Sareem, Kharif, Dhibin, Khamir, Hawth, Harf Sufyan, Bakil As Swad, Shaharah, Al Madan, Qaflah Adhr, Al Ashah, Habur Dhulaymah, and Suwayr, on the occasion of Ghadir Day.

According to Yemen News Agency, the celebrations commemorated the anniversary of the Day of the Guardianship (Yawm al-Wilayah) of Imam Ali, known as Glorious Ghadir Day. The events were held under the slogan "Whoever I am his master (mawla), then this Ali is his master." Leading the festivities in Amran city were the governor of the province and local leaders. The speeches delivered emphasized that this anniversary is a unifying faith-based milestone and a renewal of the commitment to follow the righteous path of Imam Ali.

In the districts, the events highlighted the principle of guardianship (wilayah), celebrating Ghadir Day as a significant aspect of life and an extension of the Muhammadan message. The celebrations included traditional chants, folk songs, the Bara'a dance, and poetry, drawing the participation of tens of thousands of people from the province, alongside military, executive, and tribal leaders.
