Taiz: Districts of Taiz Governorate witnessed on Monday massive popular marches under the slogan: 'In Support of the Qur'an and Al-Aqsa, in Solidarity with Lebanon, and Affirmation of Readiness.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the events reaffirmed the continued popular and faith-based stance in support of the Palestinians, resistance, in defense of the nation's causes and holy sites. The gathering squares in the provincial center and various districts were filled with thousands of participants who raised flags and banners condemning repeated insults to the Holy Qur'an and the ongoing violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque. They emphasized the continuation of popular mobilization, a steadfast position in support of Palestine, its just cause, and in backing its resistance in the face of Israeli aggression and blockade.
The marches were held in Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Square in Al-Taiziyah city, as well as in the districts of Maqbana, Khadeer, Shar'ab Al-Rawna, Al-Salo, Maawiyah, Shar'ab Al-Salam, Jabal Habashi, Sala, Hayfan, Sabir Al-Mawadim, Al-Masrakh, and Same'a, with the participation of local, executive officials, social, military and security figures, as well as tribal leaders and dignitaries. The scene reflected the level of popular engagement with the issues of the nation and its sanctities.
Participants affirmed that their turnout today was in support of the Book of Allah, and to reinforce the firm stance in support of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their prisoners held in Israeli prisons, and in support of Lebanon and its fighters. They also renewed their readiness for any developments or escalation by the United States, Israel targeting the region and the Islamic nation in general.
A statement issued by the Taiz marches stated that the Yemeni people came out today in devotion to Allah and in pursuit of His pleasure, in support of the Holy Qur'an, and to affirm their steadfast position in backing Al-Aqsa Mosque, the oppressed Palestinian people, and their prisoners held in Israeli prisons, as well as in solidarity with Lebanon, its fighters, readiness for any developments or escalation by the United States, Israel against the region and the Islamic nation.
The statement strongly condemned the repeated insults by the enemies of Allah-'Americans and Zionists'-against the Holy Qur'an, and the near-daily desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque by criminal Zionists, stressing that the Yemeni people will not remain silent in the face of renewed insults and ongoing Zionist campaigns in all their forms. It called on Muslims worldwide, the peoples of the Arab and Islamic nation to fulfill their duty by taking serious action in the path of Allah, intensifying boycott campaigns, and holding massive angry marches in all cities, capitals, and confronting what it described as a 'Zionist conspiratorial project', hostile actions against Islam, Muslims, including attacks on the Qur'an, the Prophet Muhammad, and violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The statement noted that the peoples of the nation must realize that the greatest danger lies in neglecting and failing to confront these hostile plans, as this encourages further aggression and exposes the nation to divine punishment. It also reaffirmed Yemen's position, rooted in religious, moral, and ideological principles, in supporting Gaza, working for the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, all of Palestine, and standing with prisoners in Israeli detention until their freedom is achieved.
It expressed full solidarity with the fighters of Hezbollah in Lebanon, praising and supporting their strong actions against the 'temporary entity.' The statement further reaffirmed full readiness for any new escalation by the United States, Israel against the region, the Islamic nation, and what it described as attempts to launch a new wave of aggression following the failure of their previous campaign against the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the slogan of 'changing the Middle East and establishing Greater Israel.'
It added that the Yemeni people, known as the 'people of faith, wisdom, and jihad,' continue to uphold their identity in the field of struggle, carrying the banner of Islam and maintaining leading positions in support of the Qur'an, the Prophet, Islam, and will not abandon these positions in the face of what it described as US-Israeli hostility against Islam and Muslims. The statement also reaffirmed that the Yemeni people will remain steadfast in their principled stance with dignity and resilience, responding to religious duty under the leadership of Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and will not remain silent in the face of ongoing insults and continuous Zionist campaigns.
It called on the Islamic nation and the Yemeni people to adhere firmly to the Holy Qur'an, follow its guidance, preserve their faith-based identity, and beware of what it described as 'soft war tactics' targeting the younger generation in particular. The statement concluded by urging broad participation in the Eid convoy in support of those stationed on the fronts of honor, dignity, and sacred struggle.
