Mawlid Celebrations Illuminate Azal District in Capital Sana’a

Sana'a: Community evenings and activities were held in Azal District of the Capital Sana'a to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy and humanity, peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

According to Yemen News Agency, residents of Omar neighborhoods in Dhahr Himyar, Al-Taawun and Lakmat Al-Zabib in Al-Rimah, Maseek and Bustan Amr in Maseek, and Al-Salam Al-Shamali in Naqom organized cultural evenings. Some were attended by First Deputy Mayor of Sana'a Khaled Al-Madani, Deputy Mayor Dr. Qanaf Al-Marani, Media Office Director Abdullah Al-Faeq, District Director Mohammed Al-Ghulaisi, Mobilization official Abdullah Al-Buhairi, neighborhood mobilization officials, and social figures.

Al-Madani stressed the importance of commemorating the birth of the final Prophet and Messenger to draw lessons from his life and follow his values, morals, struggle and righteous path. He said the preparations and celebrations reflect the Yemeni people's adherence to the Muhammadan approach and their faith-based identity, as well as their renewed loyalty, love and reverence for the Prophet.

For his part, the district director praised the strong public participation in Mawlid activities, saying it reflects the significance of the occasion and its deep place in the hearts of Yemenis. The evenings featured poetry, cultural and devotional performances, as well as the honoring of graduates of mobilization courses in Azal District.

Meanwhile, Al-Ghulaisi, accompanied by local and executive officials, launched a large-scale cleaning campaign across neighborhoods and residential quarters as part of preparations for the Mawlid celebrations, with active community participation.
