Mawlid Celebrations Illuminate Shu’ub District in Capital Secretariat

Capital secretariat: Various neighborhoods of Shu'ub District in the Capital Secretariat continued to hold celebrations and cultural evenings marking the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad, the Messenger of Mercy and Humanity.

According to Yemen News Agency, the district's mobilization office, Human Resources Unit, Al-Aqsa Flood graduates, and community committees organized a central event attended by Shura Council member Ahmed Al-Sharabi and Capital Secretariat Social Affairs Committee Chairman Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, along with district and neighborhood officials.

Al-Sharabi highlighted Yemenis' role in supporting the Prophet, his family, and promoting Islam, noting that the widespread Mawlid celebrations reflect Yemenis' strong connection to the Prophet and their commitment to Islam. He urged continued Mawlid activities and broad participation in the major central celebration on 12 Rabi' Al-Awwal.

Cultural evenings were also held in several neighborhoods, featuring speeches and cultural programs emphasizing the significance of the Prophet's birth anniversary and the importance of adhering to the Quran, trusting in God, and loving the Prophet. Speakers called on residents of Shu'ub District to participate widely in the major central Mawlid celebration. Awareness seminars were also held at several mosques, while morning educational activities continued in public and private schools as part of the Mawlid celebrations.
