Sana’a: A meeting convened at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Capital Secretariat, chaired by Capital Secretariat Mayor Dr. Hamoud Abad, addressed ways to enhance security and safety measures at gas filling stations. The discussions involved Chamber President Ali Al-Hadi and Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company, Yasser Al-Wahdi.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was also attended by the Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat, Ali Al-Lahji, and the head of the restaurant sector, Mujahid Al-Jaboubi. The participants examined the mechanism of cooperation between the private sector and the gas company to stabilize gas supplies, especially for restaurants. They explored the possibility of implementing tank systems and network extensions for restaurants and hotels in alignment with approved safety standards.
Dr. Hamoud emphasized the critical importance of adopting safety and security measures at gas stations to safeguard citizens’ lives. He urged station owners to comply with these standards to avoid the risk of station closures.
Ali Al-Hadi, the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underscored the Chamber’s commitment to fostering a robust partnership with the gas company to meet the economic sector’s needs. He highlighted the significance of maintaining stable gas supply and pricing.
