Sanaa: An expanded meeting at the Customs Authority, chaired by the Authority's Chairman, Engineer Adel Margham, addressed the mechanisms for carrying out the joint decision made by the Ministers of Finance, Economy, Industry, and Investment. This decision aims to safeguard local products and bolster national production by regulating the import process.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting examined lists of goods that are prohibited from import and those whose import quantities will be limited. Adjustments to customs tariffs and a flat rate tax collection at customs ports were also discussed. These measures are intended to promote local production and reduce reliance on imported goods.
