Sana'a: A meeting held on Wednesday, chaired by Chairman of the General Investment Authority, Mohammed Ishaq, discussed the performance of the Investor Services Center 'One-Stop Shop' and the activation of its executive pathways in light of the new Investment Law.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included sector heads and directors of government offices, highlighted the importance of achieving a fundamental transformation through the one-stop shop. This transformation aims to create a digital investment environment with promising prospects, aligning with the strategic direction toward building a flexible and stimulating investment climate.
The Chairman emphasized the new investment philosophy that promotes the principle of the investor as a partner in the development process. He pointed out that the role of government offices has transitioned from oversight to being a smart facilitator, eliminating bureaucracy, and replacing lengthy, complex procedures with a unified, flexible digital process based on mutual respect and trust.
He further stressed the importance of simplifying licensing procedures, activating the full authority of government representatives, and creating preferential advantages for projects that serve the national economy and generate added value. The commitment to advancing network integration among all government entities to ensure seamless data flow and smooth transactions was also affirmed.
The Chairman urged minimizing transaction processing time to the lowest possible level to save investors both time and costs. He highlighted the critical role of the Investor Services Center 'One-Stop Shop' in granting government representatives full powers to make decisions, issue approvals, and permits for new investments.
