Meeting at Mahweet Water Corporation Discusses Emergency Plan and 2025 Performance Reports

Mahweet: A meeting at Mahweet Water and Sanitation Corporation, chaired by Engineer Abdulghani al-Qatmah, discussed on Sunday the emergency plan, operational readiness, and performance reports of the corporation for 2025, alongside ways to improve services.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed the emergency plan and the technical and operational readiness of the corporation's main office and branches across the governorate. It also reviewed the annual report for 2025, which included achievements and completed projects in the water and sanitation sectors, as well as the annual inventory reports for assets, stores, and financial matters.

The meeting discussed the performance of the branches during the first quarter of 2026, including financial collections and challenges faced in field operations. Strategies to address these challenges and improve performance were also examined. Engineer al-Qatmah emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts between the central administration and branches to enhance institutional performance.

He highlighted the need for regular maintenance programs and strengthening readiness to deal with emergencies, particularly in light of seasonal and climatic changes. He also called for increased efforts to improve revenue generation, expand water and sanitation services, and implement high-impact projects that meet the needs of residents in the governorate's districts.
