Meeting at Ministry of Transport Discusses Urgent Road Projects for Raymah

Sana'a: A meeting chaired by Minister of Transport and Public Works, Mohammad Qahim, on Wednesday in the capital Sana'a discussed the urgent road project needs of Raymah governorate. The meeting was attended by officials from the Transport and Public Works sectors and local leaders from Al-Rima.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the challenges faced by the governorate due to its rugged mountainous terrain, which hinders transportation and the delivery of essential services, especially amid the ongoing effects of the war and blockade. Minister Qahim affirmed the ministry's commitment to prioritizing Raymah's needs, in line with directives from the revolutionary leadership and the political council, to alleviate the hardships of the people in the region.

He added that the ministry, through the Roads Maintenance Fund and the General Roads Authority, would study the urgent road projects, focusing on vital routes connecting remote villages. Local leaders expressed their appreciation for the ministry's focus on road development and highlighted the urgent need for repairs and maintenance on strategic roads to ensure safe travel, improve mobility, and facilitate the delivery of essential goods.
