Sana'a: A meeting was held on Sunday in Sana'a, chaired by the Acting Prime Minister Al-Allama Mohammed Miftah, to discuss the service, development, and social conditions in the Capital Secretariat and the implementation of the Ramadan Program plan. The meeting, attended by the Capital Secretary Dr. Hamoud 'Abbad, the Deputy Secretaries for Services Engineer Abdel-Fattah Al-Sharafi and for Public Works and Projects Engineer Abdelkarim Al-Houthi, as well as directors of the Sanitation Fund and Project and the directorates of the Secretariat, focused on ways to enhance and develop the level of services provided to citizens, improve overall performance, and overcome challenges.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Acting Prime Minister emphasized the importance of continuous care and attention to public services and improvements, noting that the capital, Sana'a, is the country's showcase and a safe haven for all citizens. He praised the efforts in sanitation and environmental improvement in the Secretariat. He urged doubling efforts and encouraging community participation to ensure the success of sanitation work, stressing that it is a shared responsibility between official bodies and society.
Al-Allama Muftah also called for mobilizing resources to enhance service readiness in public works, roads, sanitation, traffic, electricity, and water, as well as preparation for the rainy season. He urged the leadership of the Capital Secretariat and directorates to improve performance, enhance the city's appearance, remove waste and unsightly elements, facilitate traffic flow, and reduce congestion, particularly during Ramadan.
The Acting Prime Minister also highlighted the importance of adhering to the Ramadan Program, conducting field visits to the directorates, focusing on serving and assisting citizens, addressing their problems, promoting solidarity, compassion, charity, and intensifying humanitarian and charitable work during the holy month. For his part, the Capital Secretary affirmed the local authority's and executive bodies' commitment to following the Acting Prime Minister's directives to raise performance levels, provide essential services to citizens, and prepare for the implementation of the Ramadan Program plan.
He also reviewed the achievements in the Capital Secretariat in service, development, and social fields, including numerous projects in roads, water, sanitation, cleanliness, and improvement initiatives. 'Abbad highlighted the role of the directorate managers in enhancing performance, mobilizing efforts, preparing for Ramadan and the implementation of the Ramadan Program plan.
