Sana'a: A broad meeting held on Sunday under the chairmanship of Acting Prime Minister Al-Allamah Muhammad Muftah approved the government's plan for the Ramadan program, preparation for summer schools, and the successful implementation of the campaign 'Our Identity: Values, Behavior for Cleanliness and Awareness. Welcome Ramadan.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Minister of Education and Scientific Research Hassan Al-Saadi, Sana'a Governor Dr. Hamoud Abbad, Deputy Ministers of Local Administration and Rural Development Nasser Al-Mohdar, Electricity, Energy, and Water Adel Badr, Youth and Sports Nabiha Nasser, and Deputy Head of the General Authority for Awqaf and Guidance Al-Allamah Fouad Naji. The attendees reviewed the components of the government plan for Ramadan, which includes the Ramadan program, summer school preparation, and the 'Our Identity: Values and Behavior for Cleanliness and Awareness' campaign.
The plan is aimed at enhancing the spiritual atmosphere, faith-based identity, and moral values during the holy month. It seeks to reinforce the culture of benevolence and charity, which are central objectives of Ramadan, particularly significant in light of the current conditions the country faces. This plan emphasizes the importance of the Quran, mastery of its recitation, and reflection on its verses.
The government plan aims to mobilize and activate both official and community efforts to participate in the cleanliness campaign, translating it into tangible behavior in houses, neighborhoods, streets, cities, and villages. This initiative reflects a faith-based value promoted by Islam and serves as a key factor in environmental preservation and disease prevention.
The meeting also focused on implementing the Ramadan program in government institutions at both central and local levels. Attendees reviewed the responsibilities of ministries and local and central government units in achieving the overall objectives of the Ramadan program and cleanliness campaign. They focused on raising awareness about the importance of hygiene, actively contributing to waste removal, and eliminating random dumping in streets.
The meeting underscored the importance of active participation by all public and private institutions in the comprehensive cleanliness campaign. It highlighted the need to strengthen community involvement and enhance the role of mosques in faith-based awareness through regular daily Ramadan programs. The reinforcement of faith-based identity within society is essential to maximize the blessings of the holy month.
Participants confirmed the need to pay attention to Ramadan lectures by the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi. They called for engaging in acts of charity and benevolence, visiting families in need, reviving the spirit of cooperation and solidarity, promoting faith-based and national awareness, and educating the public about the dangers of external threats through media, organizations, and other foreign cultural influences.
The importance of the Ramadan program in strengthening the nation's awareness of the necessity to confront challenges was noted. Understanding the nature of the conflict with external forces and mobilizing for general preparedness at various levels were emphasized, along with ensuring daily follow-up on Ramadan program activities.
The participants praised the crucial role of guidance platforms, sermons, and media channels in promoting comprehensive cleanliness. They supported the campaign through awareness and motivation, producing and broadcasting diverse media materials to enhance awareness efforts.
The meeting also addressed the vital role of security units in maintaining public order and protecting citizens, especially during Ramadan. The central role of the Traffic Department in regulating vehicle flow, ensuring smooth traffic, and addressing congestion, which intensifies during the holy month, was also discussed.
Sana'a's governor, the Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Badr, and the Deputy Head of the Awqaf and Guidance Authority spoke about their responsibilities in implementing the government plan for Ramadan, including electricity, water, guidance, and charity campaigns.
The Acting Prime Minister directed the preparation and distribution of necessary circulars to government entities to implement the approved plan. He also called for the establishment of operations rooms to monitor provincial and district activities, as well as a central operations room chaired by the Prime Minister's office.
He urged all government entities to actively engage in the comprehensive cleanliness campaign and allocate available equipment and machinery to support it. Al-Allamah Muftah emphasized that all segments of society are required to participate in the campaign, which targets public health and environmental cleanliness, reflecting the faith-based and cultural values of the proud Yemeni people.
The meeting was attended by undersecretaries from several ministries, authorities, and related institutions.
