Meeting Discusses Plans to Revitalize ‘Yadco’ Pharmaceutical Company

Sana'a: A meeting chaired by Acting Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Sam Al-Bashiri, reviewed the status of the Yemeni Pharmaceutical Manufacturing and Trading Company, 'Yadco.'

According to Yemen News Agency, the company's Chairman of the Board, Dr. Mohamed Al-Tuhami, presented a brief report on plans to revive the company, its development and modernization projects, as well as the challenges and obstacles it faces.

The Acting Minister emphasized the importance of overcoming these obstacles and working according to market-oriented approaches. He instructed the company's leadership to provide the ministry with its development, modernization, and strategic plans.

He highlighted that the ministry will offer full support to help the company overcome difficulties and ensure smooth production operations through well-studied plans and visions that contribute to the continuity of production, the development of facilities and production lines, and the modernization and expansion of output, making the company an effective contributor to the country's pharmaceutical security.

The Acting Minister also stressed the necessity of reducing production costs, preparing plans to transition to alternative energy, and minimizing reliance on conventional energy sources, which drain significant company resources and increase production costs.
