Meeting in Al-Hodeida Urges Return of Misled Residents from Saudi Ranks

Sana'a: An expanded meeting in Al-Hodeida Governorate today issued a call to the governorate's residents who have been misled into joining the Saudi enemy's mobilizations, urging them to seize the opportunity to return to their homeland. The meeting emphasized the importance of distancing themselves from Saudi schemes and reinforcing unity to confront the enemy.

According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering included key figures such as the governorate's leadership, members of the House of Representatives and Shura Council, scholars, sheikhs, academics, social figures, and local authority and mobilization leaders. Discussions were held on the latest developments and evolving situations on various fronts, with a focus on strengthening the national stance and thwarting Saudi attempts to use the governorate's residents for its own agenda.

The Governor of Al-Hodeida, Abdullah Atifi, highlighted the governorate's resilience and national stance, praising the successful Mawlid al-Nabawi event and the massive turnout, which demonstrated a strong connection to the Messenger of God (PBUH). He commended the Yemeni Armed Forces for their operations targeting Saudi mobilizations and reiterated support for actions against invaders and occupiers.

Governor Atifi called for the return of misled residents to national ranks, stressing that reliance on the Saudi enemy would lead to loss. He urged residents to stand with their homeland, ensuring the protection of rights and properties in districts like Hays and Al-Khawkhah, and to resist invaders' schemes.

The Deputy Minister of Interior, Major General Abdulmajid Al-Murtada, affirmed that Saudi Arabia employs mercenaries to further its interests, urging the misled to recognize the reality and return to national ranks. He emphasized that returning preserves dignity and security, while remaining with Saudi mobilizations only prolongs Yemen's suffering.

The meeting also included insights from First Deputy Governor Ahmed Al-Bishari and Deputy Governor for Services Affairs Mohammed Halisi, who stressed the importance of social cohesion and the role of local authorities, sheikhs, and scholars in encouraging misled residents to return home.

The gathering, which also featured Ahmed Salah from the Security and Intelligence Apparatus and Deputy Security Director Sari Al-Maghribi, underscored Al-Hodeida's commitment to unity and defending its security and stability against external threats.
