Taiz: A meeting held on Monday in Al-Taiziyah District, chaired by the Deputy Governor for Development Affairs, Abdulwasie Al-Shamasi, discussed the mechanism for implementing the productive families project in the field of sewing in the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, Deputy Al-Shamasi stressed during the meeting, which included the directors of Al-Taiziyah District, Abdulkhaleq Al-Junaid, and Shar'ab Ar-Rawnah, Osama Al-Qatabri, as well as the head of the Cooperative Union branch, Majed Al-Saghir, a representative of the Office of Economy, Industry and Investment, Rafiq Al-Ariki, and the head of Al-Taiziyah Cooperative Association, Saeed Al-Rubaie, the importance of implementing the project through the district's cooperative association according to a flexible mechanism that aligns with national priorities, mainly food, medicine, and clothing.
He pointed out the role that relevant authorities will play in marketing the families' products, which will help encourage productive families in particular, and producers in general, to continue their production activities.
Al-Shamasi explained that the clothing produced by productive family centers will be marketed to students of public and private schools, as well as healthcare workers in Al-Taiziyah District, through prior coordination with relevant authorities to determine the required size, type, specifications, quantities, and categories of clothing needed.
He affirmed the local leadership's commitment in the governorate to supporting and developing projects that contribute to improving living conditions and advancing the economic sector.
Meanwhile, Director of Al-Taiziyah District, Al-Junaid, reviewed suitable locations where similar activities had previously been implemented to accommodate a number of qualified productive families capable of working on the project.
For his part, Director of Shar'ab Ar-Rawnah District, Al-Qatabri, emphasized the importance of inventorying projects previously implemented by local authorities and funded by philanthropists, and developing an appropriate mechanism for managing these projects to ensure integration and achieve the desired impact of their implementation.
