Meeting in Hodeida Approves Plan to Rectify Status of Endowment Lands Exploited by Education Sector

Hodeida: A joint meeting of the General Authority for Endowments and Guidance and the Education Sector in Hodeida governorate discussed on Monday the detailed implementation plan of the sub-committee tasked with rectifying the status of endowment lands and properties exploited by the education sector in the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the Director of the Endowments Authority Office, Ibrahim Al-Naami, the Head of the Education Sector, Omar Bahr, and members of the assigned committee, reviewed mechanisms for joint coordination to ensure the success of the committee's tasks in accordance with general guidelines, and to begin surveying and registering all endowment properties exploited by the education sector.

The attendees also reviewed a plan for exchanging available data and information to establish a unified database, determine the rental value of schools built on endowment lands, including those designated for mosques and other endowments such as the "Sukkah" endowment, and submit it to the Higher Committee for a decision.

The meeting addressed ways to increase revenues and invest endowment lands and properties within the framework of the national vision for building a modern state, as well as solutions to overcome the challenges facing efforts to recover and protect endowment lands and properties.

The meeting emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination between the two sides to implement the committee's tasks according to the general guidelines, contributing to the completion of the comprehensive inventory and processing of endowment lands and properties used in the education sector.

During the meeting, the available lists from the Endowments Office were handed over to the relevant committee in the education sector, and a committee was tasked with preparing a detailed work plan and establishing a schedule for periodic meetings to monitor the implementation phases.
