Meeting in Washhah Discusses Boosting Agricultural Development

Hajjah: A meeting in Washhah District, Hajjah Province, chaired by Governor Hilal Al-Sufi, discussed ways to strengthen agricultural and development efforts in the district.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the agricultural situation, the performance of the agricultural cooperative association, and challenges facing farmers. Participants stressed the need to activate agricultural associations, increase local production, and promote food self-sufficiency.

They also discussed plans to utilize valley water resources, provide technical support to farmers, and strengthen agricultural inputs, extension services, and marketing.

The meeting emphasized continued mobilization for the 'Al-Aqsa Flood' training courses, describing them as important for supporting the fronts and strengthening resilience.

Governor Al-Sufi and the provincial deputy governor highlighted agriculture as a battle no less important than the military one, noting that Washhah has fertile land and water resources that can be developed through collective efforts.

They affirmed support for the agricultural association to help farmers produce local food and transform Washhah into a model of agricultural production in the province.
