Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts cold to very cold weather and does not rule out the formation of light frost in parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather bulletin issued by the center indicates that the governorates of Saada, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, and the highlands of Al-Dhale'a, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, western Al-Jawf, and southern Ma'rib are expected to experience cold to very cold conditions during the night and early morning hours.
Temperatures are projected to range between 0 and 4 degrees Celsius in these areas, with the possibility of light frost forming. Meanwhile, the highlands of Hadramawt, Shabwah, Taiz, Raymah, Al-Mahwit, and Hajjah are also expected to encounter cold weather conditions.
The center has issued warnings to citizens residing in mountainous areas to take necessary precautions against the cold, particularly vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children, and the sick, as well as those working during the night and early morning hours. Farmers have been advised to implement measures to protect their crops from potential damage due to the low temperatures, and travelers heading to colder regions are encouraged to prepare for the cold.
In addition, the center has alerted seafarers, fishermen, and ship captains to be aware of rough seas and high waves south of the western coast and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.
