Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast cold to very cold weather in a number of governorates and highlands during the next 24 hours. The center stated in its weather bulletin that cold to very cold conditions are expected during the night and early morning hours in the governorates of Saada, Al-Jawf, Amran, Sana'a, Dhamar, Al-Bayda, Shabwah, Hadramout, and the highlands of Al-Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Ibb, southern Marib, and Al-Mahrah, with the possibility of frost occurring in parts of these areas.
According to Yemen News Agency, the weather may be cold in the highlands of Hajjah, Al-Mahwit, Raymah, and Taiz. The center warned citizens in the mentioned governorates, or those traveling to them, of the cold and very cold weather, especially the elderly, children, the sick, and those working during the night and early morning hours.
It also advised farmers to take necessary measures to protect their crops from damage, and urged livestock herders and beekeepers and poultry breeders to shelter them in warm places.
